It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Robert M. Mezeske, owner of Car Care by Bob, who departed this life on January 27, 2026 at the age of ninety-two. Bob was a cherished husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, remembered for his warmth, kindness, and unwavering generosity.
Born on December 17, 1933 in a small farmhouse in central Michigan, Bob was warmed by the oven of a wood burning stove, Bob was raised on the banks of the Muskegon River where he and his siblings formed many early memories on the river and backwoods. After an enlistment in the Army and two years in Germany, the Mezeske’s relocated to Prescott, Arizona in 1959, and returned to Prescott in 1977. Bob touched the lives of many through his auto repair shop, Car Care by Bob. He was dedicated to Friday morning breakfast with his employees and friends, which he attended for 30 years until December, 2025. He was known for concern for family and customers at Car Care, and developing words and phrases that Webster’s will never recognize, a dry wit, and leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
