Robert L. Millage

Robert L. Millage, 76, Anderson, passed away April 10, 2007 at St. John’s Medical Center after an extended illness.

He was born September 19, 1930 in Middletown and lived most of his life in Anderson. He retired from Delco Remy in 1986 after 37 ½ years.

He was a member of New Beginnings Church, Middletown Masonic Lodge and UAW – CIO Local #662.

He is survived by his wife, Mary L. Millage of Anderson; sons, Monty Millage of Fort Wayne and Kyle (wife, Heather) Millage of Flemington, NJ; stepchildren, Kim Smith of Anderson, and Mike Smith and Nancy Smith, both of Chesterfield; six grandchildren, Nathan Millage, Matthew Millage, Autumn Millage, Kelly Trevino, Crystal McKise and Cody Smith; two step grandchildren, Misty Morris and Leanne Jones; two great grandchildren, Austin McKise and Whitney McKise; three step great grandchildren, Aluxus Jones, Zachary Morris and Devinson Morris; sister, Jeanie Tipton of Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kay Millage; mother and step father, Irene and Walter Smith; adopted parents, Bill and Sally Millage; sister, Carol Boat; and brother, Carson Smith.

Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Marcum officiating. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4 – 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
