Robert Miller

Robert Miller, age 88 years, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ. Born on September 22, 1937, in Whitehouse, NJ, he was the son of the late Charles "Clark" and Lena Mae (Davis) Miller. He lived in Hunterdon County, NJ, for almost his entire life, deeply rooted in the landscape he cherished.

Robert grew up working on the family farm where he developed a passion for agriculture and the joys of rural life. He devoted forty-five years to the Now or Never Farm, also known as the DuFosse Farm, located in Ringoes, NJ. Following his tenure there, Robert spent an additional ten years working for the Fred Van Doren farm, prior to his retirement. His proudest accomplishments were found in the simple yet fulfilling task of working the land, which he loved above all else.

Beyond his agricultural pursuits, Robert enjoyed attending local annual fairs and carnivals, where he could connect with the community and savor moments of joy and celebration. A lover of music, he found great pleasure in listening to country hits and was a dedicated listener of WDVR FM radio.

Robert was the last of eleven siblings, preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters: Melvina Ryman Sadorski, Lillian Mae Stepanchuk, Clark Peter Miller, Jr., Mabel Elizabeth Miller, Norman Joseph Miller, Ruth Miller, William Raymond Miller, Chester Miller, Frances Emma Fretz, and Walter "Sonny" Miller.

He is survived by many nieces and nephews, who will remember him fondly.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Saturday evening, February 21, 2026, from 7:00 PM to 8:45 PM, followed by a funeral service starting at 8:45 PM, both to be held at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home located at 147 Main St, Flemington, NJ, 08822. 

Interment in the family plot at Rural Hill Cemetery, Whitehouse, NJ will be held privately.
