Robert "Lynn" Millwood, 71, of
Norfolk, Virginia, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 17, 1954, in Newport News, VA, Lynn was the cherished son of Charlotte Louise Cole and John D. Millwood. Lynn lived a life rooted in love, generosity, and unwavering commitment to those around him. He never met a stranger and was always the first to lend a hand to anyone in need. A devoted family man, his greatest joy came from spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. His warmth and presence filled every room, and he leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and deep connection. He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Wanda B. Millwood; his son, Robert "Adam" Millwood and wife Kristina, their children Dylan and Ashlee, and his great-grandson Axle; his son, Benjamin "David" Millwood and significant other Rose, their children Carson and Aiden, and their mother Ashley; and his daughter, Victoria Lynn Hutchison, and her children Blake and Liam, and their father Craig. Lynn also leaves behind his siblings: Cathy Camechis (Larry), Linda O'Brien, Sharon Tarhan, and Jerry Burkhart; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family who were all dear to him. He was preceded in death by his father, John D. Millwood; mother, Charlotte C. Burkhart; stepfather, Benjamin Burkhart; sister, Linda Wheeler; brother, Steven Millwood; and his beloved granddaughter, Jasmine Sinclair. Lynn was a man of many passions. He gave his time freely, serving for years as a volunteer coach with Azalea Little League, where he made a lasting impact on countless young lives. A devoted NASCAR fan and a man of strong convictions, he was always up for a spirited conversation. His faith was an important part of his life, and he was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, where he volunteered often to serve the homeless and those in need. Professionally, Lynn was an entrepreneur at heart. He opened Tidewater Rubber Stamps in 1973, which eventually became Hampton Roads Printing and Stamps. After closing the business in 1997, he continued his career as an office administrator for Maersk, where he brought the same passion and care to his work as he did to every other part of his life. To know Lynn was to love him. He was a devoted husband, a proud father, a loving "Pops", a supportive "Uncle Dad", a loyal brother, and a true friend. His spirit, generosity, and strength will be remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 1:00PM at Cornerstone Baptist Church located at 1500 Sewells Point Rd,
Norfolk, VA 23502. A graveside service will be held Monday, September 29, 2025 at 11:00am at Albert G.
