Robert Molaski Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 8, 2018.
Molaski, Robert "Bob" born to Eternal Life on November 7th at the age of 90. Beloved husband to Mary (Boehm) for 52 years. Loving father of Tom (Lori) Molaski, Connie (Reid) Bergren, Mike (Melissa) Molaski, Suzy (Rob) Wettstein. Dear grandfather to Hailey, Julia and Abbey Molaski, Emily and Vivian Bergren, Marcus and Marshall Molaski, Ella and Max Wettstein. Dear brother of Marj Detle and Uncle to Kay Ritchie.

Bob was born in Ashland and graduated from DePadua in 1945. He served his country in the US Army during the final years of WWII. When he returned to the states he attended Northland college in Ashland then graduated from Spencerian Business School in Milwaukee. He then spent 37 years working at Hasselkus Company in Milwaukee.

Bob loved sports, both as a participant and a coach. Growing up he played basketball at De Padua and went on to play basketball and football at Northland College. He was very active in coaching youth sports at Holy Redeemer then upon moving to Grafton he continued coaching Grafton youth sports, including both basketball and softball for Grafton High School. In his later years he played softball in the Grafton senior softball league and enjoyed golf up through the summer of 2018 when he golfed with his sons in Ashland, WI.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Ben and Nettie Molaski, his brother in laws Frosty Tomlinson, Harlow Detle and John Boehm and his sister in law Barbara Boehm.

Visitation will be on Friday, November 16, 2018 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1619 Washington Street in Grafton from 4PM until time of the Memorial Service at 6PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St Joseph's Catholic Church or Honor Flight Network would be appreciated.

So many happy memories of the Lushine familys time on Birch Street. From summer evenings having beverages to the Holidays when snowmen disappeared to Christmas light contests! Saturday morning breakfast at McDonalds with George and Dorothy.
Thank you Bob for the very positive influence you had on my 3 kids in sports and life. I will never forget how happy you made a little boy when you asked Ben to play with the older guys in Little League. The kids always asked about Mr. Mo and were saddened to hear of his passing. I have lost a dear friend and will miss the hug he always gave me when we saw each other.
Mary you and the kids are in my prayers. Blessings

Bob was truly a sports fan and very active in all activities while in Grafton. What a tremendous role model for his kids and everyone in sports that he touched. Our condolences to the family.

I would like to get a copy of Bob's rule book for golf from about 1962. It was a bit torn and tattered but it served a very entertaining purpose. I think he played life as he played golf, there were no give me's. He always demanded of himself to hole the putt no matter how close to the hole.

Also, it was a good thing that there were not many historical waysides markers on golf courses, it seems it was difficult for him to bypass one without stopping when on road trips with the family.

The School District of Grafton, Wisconsin has been blessed to be a part of your family and enjoyed the contributions, the legacies, and the quiet, dedicated involvement of a life-long service that is so appreciated.

Thanks, Bob - Hit the ball straight - we will all watch where it lands - oh, you will now be able to see where it lands. (no more "hit it with your purse, Bob", no more "oh, dirty word")!

I have been blessed by having you and your family as an enjoyable part of my personal and professional life.

Thankyou and rest in peace.
