ROBERT TILDEN MONGAN, Sr., 74, of 17950 Oak Ridge Drive, Hagerstown, Maryland, died Saturday, September 5, 2009 at Reeder�s Nursing Home in Boonsboro, MD. Born May 31, 1935 in Washington County, Maryland, he was the son of the late Paul and Mabel Zepp Mongan. He retired in 1990 from Mack Trucks, Inc. He was a member of the Flying Feather Bowling League; Fraternal Order of the Eagles #694; Eagles Inc. of Waynesboro, PA and Moose of Hagerstown. He is survived by his wife, Harriett (Penny) Mongan; two daughters, Brigitte Heller of Boonsboro, MD and Crystal Krocker of Hagerstown, MD; five sons, Robert (Manny) Berger, Sr. and wife, Chrissy, Rocky Berger, Robert (Bobby) Mongan, Jr. and John G. Mongan all of Hagerstown, MD and Jay A. Mongan of Pennsylvania; two brothers, Paul Mongan and David Mongan of Hagerstown, MD; loving and devoted granddaughter, Brooke Krocker; grandchildren, Shelby Krocker, Brittany Heller, Whitney Mongan, Abbey Mongan, Amber Mongan, Lindsey Mongan, Sabrina Ditch, Terry Doyle, John Mongan, Jr. Eddie Mongan, Larry Atherton, Rocky Berger, II, Ryan Berger and Robert (Bunk) Berger, III; six great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Janice Mongan; two brothers, Tommy Mongan and Eugene Mongan. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m.
