To Lisa Monzon and your extended family my sincerest condolences.
I just read of the passing of your husband Robert a year ago April. I am quite saddened to hear of your loss and although I fret that this message may rekindle some of the your sadness, sorrow and grief from that time, I hope that in the passing days and months since then, you have been able to find some measure of comfort and peace basking in many sweet memories of your lives together, and, that you have started along your path towards healing.
While I never met him, in reading his on-line memorial and remembrances left by friends and others, I realized immediately what a void his death opened with those who loved and knew him. Plainly, Roberts passing has created emptiness where there was once - his life, his love, his joy, his passion and his compassion. There can be no doubt that he is missed and mourned by all within your family circle and among your circle of friends.
I could imagine during this time of great disruption and commotion all around, that you may be feeling even greater loneliness and deeper despair now. Times when you are missing the comfort and reassurance of his voice and wishing Robert were still here so you could weather these storms together. I am certain that he is still there for you, deep in your heart and soul, in your comings and goings and in your still quiet moments.
Regrettably, with healing inevitably comes scaring thankfully, these scars are just enduring reminders of your love who has gone for only a short season. Hopefully you find much solace and sure consolation knowing that, just as you will always be waiting for him to come back to you, Robert is also waiting for you to return to him.
Best wishes and prayers for you and your family.
P.S. Just in case, there is a wonderful website for those who are grieving TheAfterloss.com

Rick, Chris and Jean, my mother passed along this tragic news to me. May you all take comfort in knowing that you will see him again one day. I loved hanging out with your family in the 70's. I can picture Rob and Phil running together in heaven. Ann Eyler

I am very sad to hear this news about Rob. I met Rob around 1979 and we enjoyed a lot of good times for the next 10 or so years. I've thought of Rob and the family often over the years hoping all was well, so was very surprised to hear this news given how healthy and spirited I remember Rob being. My sincere condolences go out to Lisa, Jean, Chris, Rick and the entire Monzon clan and friends. I know Rob will be missed by many, and he was way too young to go. Onward and upward my Brother.
