As we reflect on the legacy of Robert L. Moody, we want his family to know they are in our thoughts and prayers today and in the coming days ahead. We never knew Mr. Moody, but we know of his extensive work and generosity to Galveston and beyond. Because of him and his forefathers and Aunt Mary in addition to the Moody's of today. We Texans and even out-of-towners enjoy the many contributions to Galveston made by this Texas family. We thank you all. I am sure Robert (Bobby) was told by our Lord, job well done. God Bless

I was sorry to hear of the death of Robert. He was a great man and a great employer. Also, hello to Ross and family.
With sympathy, Pete and Jody Baley

Bobby was a great friend of my Bickel family for decades.

The relationship started in the early 1950s. My father Myron "Mike" Bickel was the general agent in charge of ANICO's Galveston agency. Bobby's grandfather sent Bobby to my father to be trained as a life insurance agent. My father said Bobby was "as sharp as a tack".

Our contacts with Bobby became infrequent after we left Galveston in the 1960s. However, in the 1970s and 1980s my father worked for Bobby at National Western. He was a top producer for many years. He and my mother Jane attended many National Western conventions. My father enjoyed telling audiences that, fortunately for all attendees, he had taught their boss the life insurance business.

Bobby must have been pleased that his longevity closely matched that of his grandfather.

My brother David and I extend our condolences to all of the Moody family.
