Robert Edward Moody Sr. "Ed" passed away on November 17, 2023, in Carrollton, GA. He was born on September 22, 1935, in Colquitt, GA to his parents, William Hardy Moody & Rosa Belle Moody.

After completing his education at Miller County High School, Ed went on to serve honorably in the United States Army until his discharge. He dedicated 33 years of his life to the car business and eventually retired from Cronic Automotive. His commitment and hard work were evident throughout his career.

Ed was known for his quiet and stern demeanor, but he also had a hilarious side that would draw laughter from those around him. His distinctive echoing laugh would fill the room and leave everyone smiling. He was a man of few words but always managed to make a lasting impression with his witty sense of humor.

One of Ed's defining qualities was his devotion to Nancy Moody, his beloved wife of 58 wonderful years. The two shared a bond built on love and companionship that served as an inspiration to others. Ed showed his family what it meant to be a good husband through his unwavering support and dedication.

Outside of work, Ed enjoyed indulging in various hobbies and interests. He was a passionate fan of NASCAR and followed Atlanta sports teams with enthusiasm. Fishing provided him with solace and an opportunity to connect with nature. Working outside in his yard allowed him to express his creativity while enjoying the beauty of the outdoors.

He was a devoted Christian; a prime example of a Godly, righteous man who walked with integrity.

Ed's life will forever be cherished by those who survive him. Alongside Nancy Moody, he is survived by his son, Robert Edward Moody Jr. "Robbie" and wife, Jaime of Carrollton, GA; his sister, Patricia Hodge and husband, Van of Sylvester, GA; sister, Linda Britton and husband, Paul; brother, Dallas Moody of Tacoma, WA; brother, Bill Moody and wife, Monteen; brother, Jim Moody; granddaughter, Andria; grandson, Justin Blake  and fiancé, Autumn; granddaughter, Kelsey and husband, Josh; granddaughter Hannah, and husband, Ricky; grandson, Evan Moody; great-granddaughter, Lilly; great-grandson Leo; great-grandson, Kasey; great grandson, Kaiden; great-granddaughter, Kameron; great-granddaughter, Addison Kate, and great-grandson, Ashton. Ed's deceased family members include Angela Elaine Charles (daughter) and Tracy Denise Moody (daughter), Margaret Ann (sister), Rosa Nell (sister), and Jessie Thomas Moody "J.T." (brother).
