Robert "Bob" Moore passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. His life was one marked by devotion-to his family, his community, his country, and the many people who were fortunate enough to know him.
Born in
Madison, Wisconsin, to parents Raymond and Olga Moore (nee Wigsmoen), Bob spent his childhood in Soldiers Grove, where he developed the values of hard work, integrity, and service that guided him throughout his life. He graduated from North Crawford High School and went on to further his education at the University of Wisconsin–Platteville, earning his degree before dedicating himself to a life of service and leadership. Bob also served his country honorably as a member of the United States Marine Corps Reserve, committing six years to military service.
Bob lived an active and service-oriented life. He was deeply involved in Masonic activities and charitable work, holding memberships in the Free and Accepted Masons, Royal Arch Masons, York Rite, Commandery, and the Rosicrucian Society. His commitment and leadership ultimately led him to the distinguished honor of becoming a 33rd Degree Mason and Past Grand Master of the Free and Accepted Masons of Wisconsin, a recognition that reflected his lifelong dedication to service, fellowship, and moral leadership.
A true lover of the outdoors, Bob found peace and purpose in nature. He passed this love on to his children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews-teaching them (and sometimes learning alongside them) about the environment, animal lore, and the skills of hunting, fishing, and camping. These moments created lasting memories and traditions that will live on through generations.
Professionally, Bob enjoyed a successful career as a pharmaceutical sales representative with Merck & Co. for over 25 years, earning national-level awards and recognition as a top-performing sales representative. Later in life, he transitioned into real estate sales, where he continued to serve others by helping families find and settle into new homes.
Those who knew Bob best-friends, colleagues, and neighbors-often described him as a class act: caring, trustworthy, and always willing to help. His kindness, integrity, and quiet strength left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife and the love of his life, Betty (Biddick) Moore, with whom he shared a beautiful marriage beginning on August 15, 1959. Together, they built a life grounded in love, faith, and dedication to family. He was a proud and loving father to his two sons, Kurt and Kevin, and a cherished grandfather to Joey Stoner, Rachel Moore, and Weston Moore, each of whom brought him immense joy and pride.
Bob's legacy is one of love, service, and generosity. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to share in his life.
Visitation for Bob will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the start of services at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at First United Methodist Church, 121 Wisconsin Ave.,
Waukesha, WI 53186.
