Robert James Morgan, a beloved member of the Dallas community, passed away on March 3, 2026, at the age of 79. He was born on June 27, 1946, in Malvern, Arkansas, where his roots ran deep. A devoted family man and a talented designer for General Motors, Robert's life was characterized by his unwavering dedication to his work, his family, and his many friendships.

From an early age, Robert demonstrated a natural flair for creativity and a passion for building, skills that flourished throughout his career. His colleagues recognized him not only for his brilliance in design but also for his warm-hearted nature—as someone who embodied the essence of being a friend. Known for his friendly demeanor, Robert was a true people person who didn't meet a stranger. His generous spirit and cordiality left an imprint on everyone he encountered.

Robert had a zest for life that shone brightly in his hobbies and interests. He cherished the great outdoors, often seen fishing and hunting whenever the chance arose. Boating was another joy of his, an activity that brought him peace and a sense of adventure. These pastimes testified to his love for nature and the thrill of exploration, which he embraced wholeheartedly.

In his personal life, Robert was preceded in death by his beloved spouse, Bessie Morgan. He will forever be remembered and missed by his loving siblings: Pastor Christopher C. Morgan (Clara), Charles James Morgan, Ruby Jean Brown, Christina Morgan, Ada Mae Morgan, and L.T. Morgan Jr. They will carry forward his legacy of kindness and camaraderie, along with the cherished memories of their times spent together.

A viewing to honor Robert's remarkable life will be held on March 12, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. This will be followed by a funeral service on March 13, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM at Israel Baptist Church, also located in Dallas. Family, friends, and all who were touched by Robert's generosity and spirit are invited to celebrate his journey and share in the memories that will last an eternity.

Robert James Morgan’s life was a tapestry of compassion, friendship, and creativity, woven together by his sincere connections with the people around him. He leaves behind a legacy of love that will endure in the hearts of many, reminding us all to live openly, generously, and joyfully.
