Robert Mueller Obituary
He was an active member of St. John United Church of Christ in New Athens, IL He was a member of the Lions Club in New Athens, charter member of the Hecker Community Center, Broad Hollow Grange, Monroe County Farm Bureau, Monroe County Soil and Water District, charter member of the New Athens FFA chapter.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents – Edgar and Clara (Schulz) Mueller, his first wife – Bernice (Feurer) Mueller who passed away on December 6, 1974, his second wife – Alice (Maurer) Parker Mueller who passed away on November 13, 2019, his twin sister – Roberta, who died in infancy and his brother – Donald (Phyllis) Mueller.
He is survived by 6 children – Marlene (Terry Florek) Mueller of Belleville, IL, Kathy (Ralph) Eckart of New Athens, IL, Donna (Darwin) Haudrich of Hackett, AR, Elaine (James) Rader of Waterloo, IL, Eleanor Sue (David) Hepp of New Athens, IL and Neil (Laura) Parker of New Athens, IL, 15 grandchildren – Justin (Tisha) Eckart, Bethany (Tom) Zeveski, Dawn Drackett, David Haudrich, Dana (Greg) Browning, Darin (Christina) Haudrich, Darla (Ryan) Schatz, Kelly (Jeff) Rowold, Jim (Chris) Rader, Jared (Naomi) Rader, Keri (Troy) Feldman, Dionne (Scott) Harriss, Clayton (Ali) Hepp, Aaron (Cassie) Parker, Zachary (Janel) Parker, 31 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John United Church of Christ in New Athens, IL.
Visitation: 4 – 8 p.m. on Sunday November 2, 2025, and from 9 – 10 a.m. on Monday November 3, 2025, at St. John United Church of Christ in New Athens, IL.
Funeral: 10 a.m. on Monday November 3, 2025, at St. John United Church of Christ in New Athens, IL with Rev, Robert Koch officiating. Burial will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, IL.
Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in New Athens, IL is in charge of arrangements.
