Robert D. Mullins, 63, Moorhead, MN, died Thursday, January 16, 2025, in Essentia Health, Fargo, ND.
Robert Dale Mullins, known to everyone as “Bob”, was born October 5, 1961, in Moorhead, MN, to Gerald and Sandra (Myer) Mullins.
Bob attended school at Fargo North High. In May of 1981, he enlisted with the U.S. Army and was stationed for two and a half years in Ft. Richardson, Alaska. He was transferred to Ft. Ord in Monterey Bay, CA and was honorably discharged in May of 1984.
Bob returned to Moorhead in 1985, accepting a job with Nash Finch. On August 19, 1989, Bob married the love of his life, Susan “Sue” Cyr in a beautiful outdoor lake ceremony near Pelican Rapids, MN. They welcomed a daughter, Amanda, in August of 1992.
In 2012, Bob underwent a lung transplant. That same year, he became a proud grandpa to a grandson, Ashton. With a new outlook on life, Bob lived it to the fullest, always centered on what mattered the most, his family, and especially his grandson, but also his large network of friends. He was one of those friends that if you needed him, Bob was there. He was a perfectionist in all he did and could fix anything that was in front of him. He retired in October 2023 after 38 years with Nash Finch.
Bob was an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer and a gifted artist. Bob and Sue spent the last nine years traveling to numerous places throughout the world, making lifelong friends along the way.
Bob will be remembered and deeply missed by his wife, Sue; daughter, Amanda (Tim); grandson, Ashton; many nieces and nephews; and several sisters and brothers-in-law.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald Mullins and Sandra Quenette; and sister, Cathy (Clint) Holowell.
A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held Thursday, January 23, 2025, at 7PM in Korsmo Funeral and Cremation, Moorhead, MN. Family and friends will gather from 5PM until the time of service.
