Robert Netherton, known as Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather to his family, and Amigo to many others, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021, in Tucson, Arizona. In his life, Robert served his country in the United States Air Force in the Korean War and was Crew Chief of airplane mechanics at Davis Monthan Air Force Base. He was a member of the Flying Samaritans Southern Arizona Chapter, where he provided his personal plane, piloting, and translation skills to aid medical clinics for the poor in Baja, Mexico. He also participated in Wright Flight, a motivational program that inspired students to set and achieve higher educational goals. Robert loved flying, jazz music, baseball, people, and above all providing for his familia. He is preceded by his parents, Wayne and Marie Netherton, his brothers Raymond and William, and his sister Dolores. He is survived by his wife Beatrice Escobedo Netherton, his sons William, Michael, Roger (Virginia) and Phillip (Nancy), 13 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by all. Due to Covid, private interment will be held at South Lawn Cemetery for immediate family only.

Uncle Bob, I miss the energy with which you infused and impacted the World. I will always remember your strength of character, the fine balance you had to find to create that dance. I appreciate that I was a part of your time frame on this Earth. I appreciate your progeny. I appreciate you and Thank You for getting all of us chickens from Miami to SF.
