Robert Eugene "Bob" Noltensmeyer March 25, 1940 – October 18, 2025

Robert Eugene "Bob" Noltensmeyer, age 85, of Cushing, Oklahoma, passed peacefully from this life on October 18, 2025. He was born on March 25, 1940, in the Happy Valley community south of Cushing, to Theodore and Mary Noltensmeyer. Bob attended Happy Valley School and graduated from Cushing High School with the Class of 1958.
Throughout his life, Bob was known for his devotion to family, his steadfast work ethic, and his lifelong commitment to serving others. His professional career included employment with Halliburton and the Midland/Hudson Refinery, after which he owned and operated Rocking N Home Improvement. He also worked as a chimney sweep and faithfully served the community through Emergency Management for 49 years, including 19 years as Director. He also served his country as a member of the Oklahoma National Guard and was a long-time member of the auxiliary police. In 2004, he also began working with FEMA and was deployed to numerous states to assist communities during natural disasters, including being a part of the Hurricane Katrina recovery efforts. In addition, Bob was a dedicated member of the Cushing Lions Club and proudly held membership as a 32nd-Degree Mason with Cushing Lodge #111.
On July 23, 1977, Bob was united in marriage to Janet, the love of his life, with whom he shared 48 blessed years. He was previously married to Judi Allen, and together they were blessed with three children.
Bob is survived by his wife, Janet Noltensmeyer of the home; his children, Evelyn Shaw; Michelle Springer (Jeff); April Cummins; Joyce Abrams (Carl); and Jim Wilhelm (Carrie); nine grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Mary Noltensmeyer, and his sisters, Deloris Whelchel and Dorothy Ann Brown.
Bob found great joy in traveling, camping, and square dancing, he and Jan proudly serving as president of the Oil Patch Twirlers. He proudly served as coach for his daughter's softball and basketball teams. He was an enthusiastic supporter of Oklahoma State University athletics and the Oklahoma City Thunder. His loyal dog, Susie, was his faithful companion through many of life's seasons.
Bob will be remembered as a man of integrity, humility, and good humor-a devoted husband, loving father, and faithful servant to his community. The thing of it is: his life was a testament to hard work, kindness, and quiet strength. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
