Robert Olinger Obituary
Robert L. Olinger, 75, of Mt. Lebanon, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025. Loving husband of Doris Olinger (DiCenzo) for 47 years; proud father of Lesley Olinger and Scott Olinger; and affectionately known to friends and coworkers as “Bobby O”. Bob proudly served in the United State Marine Corps from 1968-1972. He was a member of the IATSE #3 Union. Bob worked all Pittsburgh venues ranging from opera to rock’n’roll. He served as Treasurer of the union for two years and as the President for two and a half decades. Upon his retirement, Bob was honored to be awarded the title of first President Emeritus for his leadership and contributions to Local #3. Bob was spirited and adventurous- he enjoyed fishing, target practice, competing in power lifting, and riding motorcycles. He had fond childhood memories of summer vacations in Stone Harbor, NJ which is a tradition he continued with his family.
All are welcome on Friday, December 5, 2025 from 1 PM until the time of his Memorial Service at 5 PM, WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Road, Scott Twp., 412-563-2800. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to a charity of your choice.
