Robert Overlander

Robert A. Overlander, of Inverness FL, passed at his home on Sunday, March 17, 2024. He was 87. Robert was born in Endicott, NY to the late Ralph and Pauline (Anderson) Overlander.
He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, and worked several different careers, but mostly he worked as a design engineer with a mechanical manufacturing company. Robert and his late wife Jeanne retired and moved down here from NY State 25 years ago.
He was an active member of the Moose Lodge, the Tri-County Radio Control Club, and even volunteered his time with the Citrus County Sheriff's Office. He was a devoted member of the Floral City United Methodist Church, and will be missed by many.
Robert was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years Barbara "Jeanne" Overlander in 2021 and his son David J. Overlander. Those left to cherish his memory are his sons Michael P. Overlander and his wife Terry, of Georgia, and Allen J. Overlander, of Oviedo, FL; his sister Elizabeth Hills of Floral City; his three granddaughters Sarah, Ellen, and Amanda; and great-grandchildren, Cailin and Scott.
A Graveside Service will be held at Tioga Cemetery, Rte. 17c West, Owego, NY on Friday August 23, 2024 at 11:00am with Rev. Carolyn Gillette, Pastor of the First Presbyterian Union Church Officiating. Please share your memories at www.RichardsFH.com
