Robert Owens Obituary

Mr. Owens was born December 14, 1965 in Athens, GA to Gwen Bond Owens and the late Robert "Bob" Lewis Owens. Robert was an avid outdoorsman and was the owner and operator of Owens Welding Inc for 35 years. He was a member of the American Society of Welding, Robert was a certified welding inspector and educator. Robert was also a member of the Alpine Shrine Club, Yonah Lodge # 382 F&AM. He attended Free Chapel and The Torch Worship Center.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Owens; son, Isaac Charlton Owens; son and daughter-in-law, Zachary Robert Owens (Kelley), Taverier, FL; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca Galvis (Mauricio), Buford; mother, Gwen Owens, Cleveland; grandchildren, Johanna, Mia, Jake, and Ronin; brother and sister-in-law, Ben and Hygie Owens, Brasstown, NC.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at The Torch Worship Center. Pastor Mike Franklin and Pastor Chad Parham will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 3-7 PM Monday at the funeral home.
Flowers will be acknowledged however it is requested that memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, FL 33607 or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD 21741.
