he was my counselor at Camp Comet when I was 15. there was one particular interaction we had during color war and a swim meet i still think about 40 years later. i am sorry for your collective loss. it seems that "Ox" lived an incredible life and surrounded himself with as much fun and love as possible. God bless. my deepest condolences.

Bob was on the opposite side of my very first jury trial, in New Port Richey, Florida, over 20 years ago. I was lucky to be victorious for my client that day. We had various cases after that. He was always calm, humble, and very smart with how he handled his legal work. He was a big man, but always treated others with respect. Much love to his family.

I was a very young and inexperienced football coach at W-L when I was given the job of coaching the d-line. Robert was a veteran along with another great player, Brian Blados who later played at UNC and with the Cincinnati Bengals. Both young men were huge in high school and very strong. They were a pleasure to know and to coach....but I think their most fun time was to see if they could knock me off the 2-man sled...given that I weighed about 160lbs and together they probably went close to 500lbs. I think I even laughed at the sight of me trying to hold on.
Robert was a stud....great player, even better teammate. He made a great life for himself and his family. He is missed, but not forgotten. RIP big guy.

I met Robert at Duke, I was a freshman on the football team he was a senior. One of my favorite memory was the of the lip sync group he started with other linemen. The spinners "working my way back to you !" Complete with choreography was awesome. Another memory of Robert was his frequent spoof of new age language, "Be one with the lotus" which would get us all laughing! He was kind to everyone. Robert was fun loving and wise, well beyond his years. Thank you Robert.

I was a walk on - same year group as "the OX" - and still tell the stories related to his awe-inspiring escapades both on the field and off!
He was a great Human as well!
I am so sad to know that he is not here to say "hello" to any more - I am sure there are so many that feel that way too.
