Robert Darrin Padberg

Darrin Padberg (Bob Shade), age 59, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025. A beloved father, son, brother, and uncle, Darrin was known for his huge heart and his love for his family. He would tear up at every play, Christmas pageant, or sports game that his children, or nieces and nephews were a part of. He loved to hunt, fish, ride snowmobiles, and cook good food for his friends and family. He farmed for most of his life and was part of a long line of Padberg farmers in the Ione area, stretching back to 1870.

He is survived by his parents, Marvin and Tanna, his children, Henry, Phegley, and Haryss, his siblings, Dustin and Darcee, three nieces and three nephews, and two stepdaughters.

His wishes were that he didn't want a funeral, so there will be a celebration of life for family and close friends. The celebration service will take place from 3 – 6 PM on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at the Heppner Elks Lodge #358.

In lieu of flowers, Darrin would have liked any contributions to go to the Jason Halvorsen Scholarship or the Mike Matthews Scholarship at The Bank of EO.
