Elder Robert L. Palmer was born on July 27, 1952, in Yalaha, Florida, to parents, Obadiah Palmer and Jennie Lee Palmer. He was educated in the Lake County Public Schools and attended Leesburg Elementary and Middle Schools. He graduated from Leesburg High School in Leesburg, Florida.
Love and Calling
Elder Robert was united in Holy Matrimony to Elder Minnie Palmer on April 19, 1975. To their union, three children were born: Christopher, Anthony, and Tawanda. He was a loving husband, devoted father, devoted Pastor, and a friend to all. He was a true soul winner, winning many people to Christ. He will be truly missed.
Church Affiliation
Elder Robert Palmer attended Macedonia Church of the Living God under the leadership of Pastor L. P. Richardson. He was a loyal, faithful, and dedicated member. He also served as a faithful Deacon and Minister. In 1987, he became Pastor at Holy Temple Church of The Living God in Mount Dora, Florida, and then moved the church to Tavares, Florida. He did outreach services in various communities.
Professional Experiences
Elder Robert Palmer was employed for both Lake and Orange County for a total of 35 years.
Elder Robert Palmer was preceded in death by his Father, Obadiah Palmer; Mother, Jennie L. Palmer, and siblings.
Left to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted Wife of 50 years, Minnie Palmer of Mount Dora, Florida; Sons: Christopher Palmer of Leesburg, Florida and Anthony Palmer of Mount Dora, Florida; Daughter, Tawanda Palmer-Casiano (Emanuel) of Eustis, Florida; 2 Grandsons: Tarrell Bailey and Devonta Bailey; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
