Robert Lee Parker

Robert L. "Bob" Parker, 91, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023.
Bob was born on July 18, 1931, to Joseph Edward Parker and Georgia Mae Schomerus in Orange, Texas. Bob attended Handley High School in Fort Worth, marrying Janelle Brackeen in 1952. Bob joined the Marine Corp. serving in the Korean War as a sharpshooter and bodyguard on the U.S.S. Los Angeles. Once he returned from military service, he began working as an electrician, receiving his Master License in 1960; he practiced as an electrical contractor for 50 years.
Bob was a proud member of the Handley-Meadowbrook and Trinity Lions Club for 62 years, serving as President, Treasurer and various other roles while serving his community.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Parker, Georgia and Eustace Fletcher; brother, Joseph Parker; and sister, Wanda Taft.
He is survived by his immediate family, Janelle Parker; sister(s), Rose Fletcher and Barbara Hayman; children, Jan Spear, Jill Pruyn and husband, Matt, and Jeina Parker; grandchildren, Jerrit Pruyn and wife, Cara, Madeline Pruyn Leu and husband, Justin, Wesley Pruyn and wife, Angie, Kameron Ventura and husband, Adam, Shelby Spear and wife, Ashley, Dylan Spear and wife, Angie; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Mount Olivet Chapel in the Breyley Suite. Graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 16, 2023 in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
