Funeral Service for Robert Wayne Parker, age 81 of Point will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, September 6, 2024 at Freedom Church of God with Reverend David Hamm officiating.  Interment at Arbala Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, September 6 at Freedom Church of God.  Mr. Parker passed away in Tyler, Texas at Christus Mother Frances Hospital on August 28, 2024.

 Robert Parker, passed away on August 28, 2024 Robert’s life was marked by his unwavering commitment to public service as a police officer, serving in various locales including Dallas, West Tawakoni, Quinlan, and Louisiana. 

In addition to his distinguished career in law enforcement, Robert was also a devoted preacher, sharing his faith in Oklahoma and Louisiana.

His spiritual journey was an integral part of his identity, and he found solace in deep conversations with the Lord. Bob was known for his kindness and sweetness; he possessed a remarkable ability to give grace to those around him just when it was needed most.

Robert viewed his life as a continuous work in progress. He strived to become the best version of himself, a pursuit that not only benefited him, but also touched the lives of many others.

He had many interests, one of which was his love for collecting lighthouses. This unique hobby reflected his appreciation for light and guidance, mirroring his role in the lives of those fortunate enough to know him.

Robert Parker leaves behind a legacy that extends far beyond his years. He will be fondly remembered for his generosity, his dedication to service, and his profound impact on all who crossed his path. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Marcy Parker; his sons, Danny Parker and his wife Sherri Parker, Kenneth Parker, Randy Parker and Keith Parker; his step-children, Tammye Mayfeild, Thersea Roach and Michelle Gillespie; his nieces and nephews, Paula Fitzgerald, Pam White, Lisa Kaisler and husband Frank, Misty Goodn Butcher, Reily Fitzgerald and wife JP, Jonathan Fitzgerald and wife Donna, Kevin Fitzgerald, Danny Fitzgerald and wife Jesse, Charles Burt and wife, Shannon, Dan Fitzgerald, Danielle Fitzgerald and many more great nieces and nephew that love him dearly.
