Robert Lee Peters, “Pete”, 92, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Monday, January 6, 2025 in hospital. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.; military funeral honors will also be held at the gravesite.
Robert was born March 12, 1932 in Louisville, Kentucky to Sherman and Zelma Peters. The family moved to southern Missouri in the early 1940’s and Robert and his 2 brothers graduated from Gainesville High School. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and older brother, Leland Peters and survived by his younger brother, William Peters. Robert was the father of 2, survived by his daughter, Debra A. Peters and son, Keith W. Peters. Robert had one granddaughter, Kassandra R. Peters and one grandson, Cameron B. Peters and a great grandson, Jaydan May.
Robert worked for the Missouri Highway and Transportation Department his entire career and retired in 1994. Robert was dedicated to several other interests during his life. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War where he served 3 years. Robert was also a 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason for 50 years.
Dad was always dedicated to our family and loved us probably more than we deserved.
