Robert Pettit Obituary
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Connie Pettit; his sister, Patricia Dees, and her husband, Ricky Dees: his niece, Jennifer Baxter (Patricia's daughter), her husband, John Baxter, and their sons, Kadin Baxter, Justin Baxter, and Logan Copeland; his five stepchildren; sixteen step-grandchildren: and two step great-grandchildren.
Robert proudly served 20 years in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged, a chapter of his life he carried with pride and dedication. Following his military service, he worked for Charlotte County for 15 years, continuing his commitment to service and community.
He will be remembered for his kindness, his willingness to help a friend or neighbor, his sense of humor, and especially for his hilarious dad jokes, which brought laughter to those around him. He was a devoted husband and a steady presence in the lives of his family, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life will be held be January 25th 2026 at 2:00pm on a Sunday at American Legion Post 103 2101 Taylor Rd Punta Gorda Fl. 33950
Robert's memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
