Robert Phillips Obituary
Robert "Bobby" Phillips graduated Austin High School and served 4-years in the United States Army. He was a proud member of the United Steel Workers, a dedicated contributor to the Texas Democratic Party, life-time member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Go Tejano Committee, and recent retiree of the Pasadena Refinery. Bobby was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed cheering on and supporting his Houston Astros. He had love for his baby doll and lifetime girlfriend Marilyn Monroe, riding his Harley-Davidsons, and enjoying time spent attending Houston sports games, HLSandR events, and motorcycle rallies. Bobby was always sharing stories and telling jokes and knew somebody everywhere he went. He was a family man who spoke with his children, grandchildren, relatives, and friends on a daily basis and touched many lives.
Devoted father of Bianca Phillips, Danielle Huerta (husband Angel Huerta), Robert J. Phillips (wife Valerie Phillips), and Frank E. Phillips. Grandpa Bobby to Robert, Isaac, Ezekiel Phillips, and Krysiana Huerta. He is preceded in death by his parents Enrique and Concepcion Luna Phillips.
Visitation is Friday, September 10th at Felix H. Morales Funeral Home (2901 Canal St., Houston, TX 77003) from 9:00AM to 11:30 AM, immediately followed by a funeral service honoring Robert Phillips. Entombment will be 1:00PM at the Abbey Mausoleum, Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery (6900 Lawndale, Houston, TX 77023)
