Bob was one of the nicest persons I have ever known. His friendly smile and warm personality will never be forgotten.
Bob taught me how it swim at the Ridley pool. He said I looked like a submarine. lol
I guess my head too deep in the water???
Fortunately I ended up to be a good swimmer.
I was so very sad and shocked to hear of his passing.
Rest in peace Bob. Shine your bright light down on me.
I will never forget you.

To Larry, Jimmy, Bobby's sons and the extended Piotti family..
I grew up on Evergreen Ave (308 with Bobby and went all through school with him..
I have pictures of the two of us walking together at out 1st Holy Communion and Confirmation..
I think our parents were so proud that day...
I also have a picture of Bobby, Johnny Borror, Mike Pic and little old me building a tree house in Johnny 's back yard...Pretty funny that was
Johnny passed also two years ago in New Hampshire...
I will always remember and never forget that smile Bobby had. I never met anyone who smiled as much as he did...
After years went by we re connected on Facebook and chatted at our 40th reunion..I am glad we were able to talk... I am deeply sorry for the loss of you Dad & Brother..He sure is making everybody smile in Heaven.
R.I.P. Bobby with all the angels...

I was sorry to hear about Bobby's passing. We dated in high school and he still looks the same. He was a great guy and I'm glad to see he continued with his passion for swimming. A little story - back then teens thought it was cool to smoke cigaretes so when I tried them Bobby said he was a swimmer and couldn't be around the smoke so I'd have to make a choice. I never smoked again. Best thing he could have done for me.

I'm sure he was a great family man with his warm and caring nature. My prayers are with his family and the next time I'm looking at old prom pictures I'll think of Bobby up there smiling at all of us.

This is the most beautiful tribute to a wonderful man. I remember Bobby teaching a daughter diving at the Prospect Park Swim Club. He also taught them life guarding. I remember him at volleyball games with his sons and how very proud he was of his boys. The joy he radiated at being a Dad. But he had such a joy for life. Thank you Bob for sharing your laughter and joy.

I simply can't believe it. Bob sat next to me just 6 mo ago while attending my brothers funeral service. He seemed happy & healthy. I am so very grateful that I had that time to share with him. Having been his next door neighbor when growing up, I can say with certain that he was as precious a child as an adult. He had a contagious smile that just drew you to him. Yes, I'll always remember that smiling face and how much compassion he showed to everyone.

My friend, old colleague & roommate left this world...too soon.

Bob Piotti was the inspiration for me to move to Media and start my new life.

We sat on his porch laughing, drinking red wine and amaretto on the rocks ... Just talking about everything and nothing a couple years ago. (And of course... He could serve up snacks like nobody else!)

We lived together since January of this year and didn't really see too much of each other... But when we did... I was always greeted with a loud, boisterous... "Hey, hey, hey... How's my fiery redhead?!"

Always smiling, always happy... He loved taking about his sons with a huge smile on his face and pride in his voice.

The last time I saw him was about 6 weeks ago... He was working his tri's as he walked around his house... Telling me about the latest going on with him, his fabulous girlfriend Pat & his sons....Ryan, Tyler, Trevor & Zachary.

The next I heard from him... About 10 days later...He was in the hospital & just had been served a terminal sentence of stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

I'm am so sad & shocked that a man so great & full of life could have his bright light dimmed... So quickly.

But... On a positive note. I've learned a HUGE lesson. Life is short. One day... You're working your tris with a big happy smile loving life...the next day... You never know.

Live your life.
Smile.
Work your tri's.
Surround yourself with beautiful people.
Tell people you love them.
Live this life with zero regrets.
Be a good person.
Serve up good snacks.
Find a reason to laugh.

Cheers... To Bob Piotti. Thank you for the inspiration. You were loved everywhere you went.

And I have faith that God is gonna have a great time with you among him:)

For the Costa Family our fondest memories of Bob started 35 years ago when Mario and I took our 4 small children into Strawbridges to sit on Santa's lap and to our surprise he knew all about the children, their names, their swimming. Mario and I looked at each other and our expressions were OMG! It's Santa!
This is truly who Bob was, the smile, the kindness. We are all so sadden by this news. Our hearts go out to his family, especially to his brother Larry and forever friend Jimmy. Ginny Costa

I am still trying to grasp how someone so wonderful and sweet as Bob could be taken from this world. I treasure so many wonderful childhood memories of him as my cousin with his fun loving ways and kindness. He had the warmest personality and a magical smile that made you feel good just being with him. My heart goes out to his entire family at this very difficult time. I know he is with Aunt Alice and Uncle Jim in heaven. My love to all the Piottis.
