Robert “Bobby” Ponder, of Perryville, Missouri, entered eternal rest on February 4, 2026, at his residence, at the age of 78. He was born on August 10, 1947, in Perryville, Missouri, to the late Rudolph and Edna (Ruessler) Ponder.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 36 years, Louella Ponder; his children, Christy Moser and Genny Larkin (Chad); his stepchildren, Tracy Hahn (Walter Kendall) and Daniel Hahn; his sisters, Clara Blechle (Jim), Evelyn Pingel (Gary), and Pamela Hoff (Dave); and his brothers, Mike Ponder, Wayne Ponder, and Gerald “Fish” Ponder. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Ponder; his sister, Velda Vogt; and his nephew, Shawn Blechle.
Bobby loved Oreos and made it a point to give all the children in his life an Oreo as soon as they arrived at his house. He also enjoyed mowing, shooting matches, and hunting. These moments and memories will forever be cherished by his family and friends.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to Journey Hospice for the compassionate care they provided.
