Robert J. Pratico

Wappingers Falls- Robert J. Pratico, a resident of Wappingers Falls, passed away on November 25, 2023. He was 88 years old.
Robert was born in the Bronx, NY on October 1, 1935, the son of the late Dominic and Jane (Derrick) Pratico.
He proudly served our country in the United States Army from 1954-1957.
On October 16, 1965, he married the love of his life, Livia (DiGasbarro), at St. Martin of Tours, Bronx, NY. She survives at home.
For many years, Robert worked for the New York City Department of Sanitation.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Mary's Council #4065, and a longtime avid New York Yankees and New York Giant fan. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed many bowling tournaments at Fishkill Bowl. He also liked to spend time doing crossword puzzles and playing Tetris on his cell phone.
Above all, Robert loved spending time with his family and going to lunch with his old friends.
In addition to his wife Livia, Robert is survived by two sons Salvatore and his wife Jenifer Pratico, and Dominick and his wife Christine Pratico. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren whom he adored and was so proud of Quinn, Nathan, and Jonathan, and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents and three brothers Frank, Nicholas, and James Pratico.
Calling hours for Robert will be Thursday, November 30, 2023, from 4-8 pm at McHoul Funeral Home, Inc. 895 Route 82. Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, December 1, 2023, at 10 am at St. Columba Church. Interment to follow at St. Denis Cemetery.
