Robert Pugh Obituary

Published by R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A. - Rising Sun on Mar. 4, 2014.
Robert Jesse Pugh, age 61, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Union Hospital in Elkton, MD. He was born on June 12, 1952 in Wilmington, DE to the late Robert Pugh and Kathleen (Gunther) Deleon. Robert, a graduate of Thomas McKean High School in Wilmington, DE, loved being outdoors, whether it was hiking through Turkey Point or riding around on his Harley. He was a Sergeant in the Air Force during the Vietnam War, after that he became a foreman for the Railroad. Robert was always described as a fun loving guy who loved music. He was also a loving father to his stepchildren and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his cats, Chumlee, Frankie, Thomas, Abby, Little Man, and Shadow. Robert is survived by his wife Mary Ann Pugh of Rising Sun, MD; Stepson, Joe Davalos & his wife Alicia of Wilmington, DE; stepdaughter, Rose Davalos & her companion John Quesenberry of Long Neck, DE.; sister-in-law, Debbie Perkins & her husband Raymond of Elkton, MD; brother-in-law, John Wimer & his wife Candy of Newark, DE; along with several nieces and nephews. . Services for Robert will be held privately and at the convenience of the family God's Garden God looked around His garden And found an empty place. He then looked down upon the earth And saw your tired face. He put his arms around you And lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful He always takes the best. He saw the road was getting rough And the hills were hard to climb, So He closed your weary eyelids And whispered "Peace be thine". It broke our hearts to lose you But you didn't go alone, For part of us went with you The day God called you home. May The Roads Rise May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face. And rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of His hand
