Robert Pyatt Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Rouse Funeral Home on Nov. 21, 2025.
Robert Louis Pyatt
January 15, 1934 – November 19, 2025
Goldsboro- Robert Louis "Bob" Pyatt passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. Bob was born in Philo, Ohio, on January 15, 1934, to the late Ralph James Pyatt and Anna Regina Kussmaul Pyatt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bundy Corbett Pyatt, and his siblings, Lillian Collopy, Rita Schubert, Joseph Pyatt, Leo Pyatt, Ralph Pyatt, and John Pyatt.
Faithfully serving our country in the United States Navy, Bob spent time in both the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. Following his honorable service, he retired to La Grange where he continued to work for the United States Postal Service and ran a small grocery store with Bundy.
Bob spent much of his time doing the things that brought him joy. He was always ready for a game of cards, enjoyed selling his treasures at the flea malls, and took great pleasure in watching and cheering for every Ohio team. A loyal fan through and through, he rooted faithfully for the Reds, the Buckeyes, and the Browns. He was also a devoted supporter of the Kinston Indians, attending many games each season.
Relocating back to Ohio from 1978 to 1995, Bob preferred to stay close to home but cherished his annual trips back to North Carolina to visit Bundy's family. In 1995, the family moved back to North Carolina, this time settling in Goldsboro.
To his family, Bob was one of life's greatest blessings. With a gentle spirit, he was always reliable, ever faithful, and present for any need that arose.
In keeping with Bob's wishes, no formal services will be held.
Bob is survived by his children, Amber Kasey and Robert Louis "Bobby" Pyatt Jr. (Jenny); his grandchildren, Robert Louis "Louie" Pyatt III and Taylor Puetz; and his sister, Peggy Trout.
