Robert Raisor Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 31, 2023.
Robert Alan "Al" Raisor, 57, died in his home on December 28, 2023 after a 10 month long battle with cancer. Al grew up in Romeoville where he lived most of his life. Al worked most of his adult life as a skilled painter until a few years ago when he was hired as an evening custodian for Troy 30c. He loved his job and quickly was promoted to day lead, a fact he was very proud of. He was very well liked at Troy for his friendly demeanor, his helpful hand, and his constant singing of "Country Road, Take me Home". He was warmly known there simply as "Raisor". Al was always the life of the party and had a quick sense of humor unmatched by others. He loved his family more than anything, but a close second were his fishing pole, his golf clubs, lottery tickets, coffee, and his favorite cats, Bailey and Dylan. Al is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Michelle (Montiel), his beautiful daughters who were his pride and joy, Alicia (Tom) Wdovech and Emma Raisor, his best friend and sister, Lynn (Paul) Farr, and many other family and friends. Al is preceded in death by his parents Maria (Rita) and Rowan "Bob" Raisor and his sister Geriann Scharnagle. Al will be missed like no other because there was no one else quite like him. A celebration of Al's life will be held at a later date to be announced.
