Robert Rand

Tampa - Robert Rand left this earthly world on the 28th of September 2025 and leaves behind him a legacy of love. He had much success in life and took pride in raising and leading his family. He showed through his actions that what was most important to him were the people he surrounded himself with and the values he imparted on his children and grandchildren. He also had a lasting impact professionally as a lawyer and a judge, helping many find the justice they sought and deserved.

Robert had a lifelong love of cars, and through his lifetime owned almost every car you could think of. He could name and differentiate just about any classic make and model from a simple headlamp or a taillight!

Robert was a veteran, having served in the Army, a former teacher, police officer, statewide prosecutor, defense attorney, small business owner and judge. He had a love of the law and justice, and throughout his career devoted his skills to those who often could not afford proper representation. In addition to representing those who had strokes of bad luck, he personally offered a hand up to many of those same individuals, whether it a referral to a local employer or an odd job at his law firm or home.

Above all Robert focused on his family and emphasized it over everything else. His contributions and success in this area were the accomplishments he was most proud of, where he had the greatest impact, and where his presence will be most missed. He taught his family the importance of truth and knowledge, to take pride in their heritage, and that love was unconditional.

You could almost always find Robert with a smile, a laugh, and a warmth that would welcome a conversation. He had a joy for life that was infectious. He was a great teacher, interested listener, and always available for all the things that mattered.

He leaves behind his wife, Alexandra, three sons, Gabe, Josh, and Zack, and 6 grandchildren, Hayden, Olivia, Beatrix, Juniper, Cypress, and Aspen, his sister Patricia, along with many more friends and family who cared for him deeply and will miss him daily.
