Deacon Robert "Bobby" Rease was born July 11, 1935 to Leslie Brown Rease and Mr. George. Deacon Rease was raised by his aunt and uncle, Mr. Charlie and Gladys Sellers, after his mother passed. He received his education at Waycross/Ware County Schools. After graduating, he entered the Armed Services.
Deacon Rease was employed at Celotex until he retired.
After returning to Jacksonville, he united with Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, where he served in many positions. Deacon Rease was recognized as the oldest Deacon of the church.
He later met and married the love of his life, Peggy Rease.
On Tuesday, February 21, 2023 Deacon Rease made his transition to his Heaven home.
He leaves to mourn his devoted wife, Peggy Garner Rease, and 4 children: William (Jake) Jackson of Waycross, GA; Robert Lee Rease of Lakeland, GA; Karen Clarkson (Alvin) of Lakeland, GA; Reene Rushing (John) of Tampa, FL; mother-in law, Margaret LeCount; 4 sisters-in-law, Jessie Smith, Rosa Garner, Joanne Garner, Phyllis Payne (Donald); and brother-in-law, Pastor Robert LeCount (Dinah).
Deacon Rease had 38 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren; a very special granddaughter, Kimberly Gaines of Alaska; a very special niece, Bettye Everett of Waycross, GA; and a host of other relatives and friends.
