To Bob's family and friends: I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I remember him as a fun, cool guy. Being a vet myself, I thank him for his service, especially his service in Viet Nam. It is brave men like him who has kept our country free. God bless him.

Bob was my oldest friend in the world. I will
miss him till I die.

My deepest sympathy to the Rectenwald family. Bob was a friend and neighbor and an "all around good guy" He loved to laugh and certainly enjoyed his friends, Leo, Gerry, Sam, etc. I used to enjoy those guys playing basketball at Shaler Park and all the fun they had. Bob was meticulous with his cars and was always washing, shining, and primping his vehicle. He will be sorely missed. May he rest in peace with God. John "Duke" Sommerer of Edith Street

Uncle Bobby was very kind and though he wasn't a man of many words you always felt his love, and he made it easy for you to love him back. Making him laugh made you feel like you won a prize. I remember everytime I would walk into grams I would look for his shoes under the chair next to the fridge. It would make me excited as a kid because that meant he was home and I would get a little something. Even if it was a box of tic tacs it made you feel special that he thought of you. He will be missed by all.

It is sad to say goodbye to old friends. Bob and the Rectenwald family added to fond memories of the "mount" and I'm sure many others feel this way as well. Please accept my sincerest condolences and God bless.
