Robert J. Reddy

Robert (Bob) J. Reddy, 84, passed away at his home in East Falmouth, MA. on Thursday March 17, 2022 after a short illness, surrounded by loving family and friends.
He was born July 11, 1937 in Boston, MA. to Anna T. and Albert J. Reddy. Bob is preceded in death by his wife Barbara D. Reddy, brothers Albert and Joseph Reddy, and daughter Michele Reddy. He is survived by his sister, Anne J. Clark of Milton, Ma. his children, Steve Reddy, Laura Ragonese, Paul Reddy, Karen Price, Mary Wilson, Mike Reddy, Marc Masters, and Mike Masters, 16 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. Bob leaves many beloved relatives in the Newton and Milton, Ma. areas.
Bob traveled the world with the US Navy on P-3 Orion flight crews and retired as a Senior Chief Petty Officer in 1977 after 20 years of dedicated service. Bob was an alumnus of both Southeastern Massachusetts University with a degree in Political Science and New England School of Law, JD. He practiced elder law and greatly enjoyed serving this unique population as a Certified Financial Planner.
Bob thought his home on Jenkins Pond was one of the most beautiful places he had seen. He loved his extended family and enjoyed hosting gatherings for them with his wife Barbara at their home on the pond, where an abundance of memories were made for many generations.
Bob was an avid worldwide traveler, visiting 88 countries and all 50 states in America, many of which were with a dear friend Kate.
In October 2021, Bob and his cherished friend, fellow writer and hiking companion, Marianne Schafer were featured in an article titled Hiking 15 Trails on Cape Cod, published in On Cape magazine. They had plans to begin kayaking 15 ponds on the Cape this year.

Calling hours will be held on March 22, 2022 from 3 - 6PM at Chapman Funerals & Cremations, 475 Main St., Falmouth, MA. A Funeral Mass will be held on March 23, 2022 at 11AM, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 511 Main St., Falmouth, MA. Interment will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to one of the following charities in his name, Boys Town, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, or the Fleet Reserve Association.
He will be greatly missed.
