Robert (Bob) Regner passed away January 3, 2025, in Hales Corners, Wisconsin.
Bob was known for his sense of humor as well as his warmth and sincerity. He was a kind and loving father, grandfather (Gramps, Gwamp), and great grandfather (GG-pa).
His parents, Emmanuel and Theresa (Randak) Regner, were German immigrants who settled in West Allis where Bob grew up and attended West Allis Central High School. In 1950 he married Christine (Chris) Golsteyn and they raised four children in New Berlin. Sadly, his son, Ronald W. Regner, died in 1993 in a motorcycle accident at the age of 36.
Bob was a Metallurgist during his working life. After retiring at the young age of 53, he moved to Beverly Hills, Florida with Chris. But he became antsy and ended up in an extremely successful real estate career until he fully retired at the age of 70. They lived happily until Chris passed away in 2007. Bob moved back to Wisconsin in 2013 where he enjoyed his remaining years surrounded by family. He was the fun grampa who had amazing energy and vitality.
Bob is survived by three children: Randy (Ellen) Regner, Richard (Susan) Regner, Robbin (Jeffrey) Meyer; also daughters-in-law Colleen Regner and Bambi Regner; eight Grandchildren Joshua (Alicia) Regner, Luke Regner, and Rachel (Courtney) Gatlin, Alyssa Regner, Alex Regner, Nicholas (Meghann) Meyer, and Lindsay Meyer; and Jamie Regner.
He is further survived by seven great grandchildren: Addison, Jenna and Ava Regner; Jeremiah (Regner) Combs; Willa, Hayes and Cannon Meyer.
Bob will be truly missed by family and friends. He has been a blessing to so many. Life will not be the same without him.
There will be a Celebration of Life gathering at Matty's Bar and Grill (14460 College Ave, New Berlin, WI 53151) on Saturday, February 15th. Open house style from 1p – 4p with a small presentation at 2p.
