Robert Andrew Reilly, age 65, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025. Born in Walpole, Massachusetts on September 21, 1959, he was the son of the late David Thomas Reilly and Dorothy Ann Gill. "Andy", as he was lovingly known, was raised in Walpole and attended Sudbury Valley School in Sudbury, Massachusetts, graduating with the class of 1977.
Andy began his career in carpentry while still in high school, working for master carpenters until he had the experience and expertise to start his own business. He proudly created RA Reilly Construction, building many beautiful homes throughout Eastern Massachusetts. After many years with his own business he decided to join the local carpenters union. When he wasn’t on the job you could often find Andy helping family and friends with various construction projects of all sizes. In fact, he built his sister Kathy’s family home in Plymouth.
Andy loved classic rock music. He loved bands that featured great guitarists, like Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton, and always turned the radio up when The Allman Brothers or Traffic were playing. Andy also enjoyed spending time on the water, whether it was on a boat trip, fishing from a pier, or catching the waves at the beach. He enjoyed visiting his sister Lynn in Florida or down the Cape and catching the NASCAR races, and often heading up to the family house in Maine to relax by the lake where his amazing smile and hearty laugh brightened up many family gatherings. Andy loved dogs and had many four-legged companions over the years. He was a great brother, loving uncle, and good friend, always willing to help others without hesitation and with a smile on his face. He will be missed.
Loving brother of Rosemary Fischer of St. Augustine, Florida, Kathleen Revotskie of Plymouth, John Reilly of North Attleboro, Lisa Erickson of Lido Beach, New York, Lynn Reilly-Watson of Walpole, Jeanne Reilly-Sharpe of Maynard, Nora Reilly of Foxborough, Ann McDonough of Madbury, New Hampshire, Daisy Mitsos of Oxford, England, and the late Gerry Reilly.
Cherished uncle of Alex, Alisha, Margeaux, Shaleen, Dan, Justine, Ryan, JR, Melissa, Danielle, Chelsea, Cory, Nicole, Ian, Shannon, Isabelle, Tommy, and Gus.
