Robert Farley Reinstein, age 75, passed away on October 3, 2024. Born in Wyandotte, Michigan, to the late Harold and Rosemary Reinstein, Bob grew up in Riverview and River Rouge, Michigan in a large, close-knit family, and was deeply cherished by all who knew him.
Bob was preceded in death by his siblings Fred Montry, Jerry Reinstein, Harriet Weiss, and Bill Reinstein. He is survived by his loving brothers Richard Reinstein and Robbie (Judy) Reinstein. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, including Theresa (Ron), Brian, Tonya, and Billy (Jennifer), as well as numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews, all of whom he adored.
A passionate fisherman, Bob found joy and tranquility by the water. He was also an avid fan of Detroit's sports teams, especially the Lions, Tigers, and Red Wings, and was always ready to cheer on the Michigan Wolverines. Bob's love for golf was a significant part of his life, spending many happy hours on the green. His friendships were numerous and cherished, and he was known for his generosity, humor, and love for those around him.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the American Cancer Society in Bob's honor.
Bob will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
A Committal Service will be held at Ferndale Cemetery in Riverview, Michigan, on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 1:00 PM, with inurnment immediately following the service.
