I don't even know where to begin. Bob was a dream of an uncle. He taught me to play baseball--and I have the softball trophies to show how good he was at it. (This was before Title IX or I might have more.) He took my sister and brother and me to Rox games. We were among those who spent hours on Minnesota lakes fishing with him. Back in the days when you could catch sunnies in Clear Lake with nightcrawlers, we once came back with about a hundred fish--really. (We had a lot and someone also gave us his string.) Funny thing is, I don't remember who cleaned them all but I remember Grandma Rengel cooking up a feast. (This was way before Bob lived in Clear Lake.) Up until very recently, he and my mother, his sister Donna, could spend hours on the phone together discussing news they had seen on the internet. I'd come home from work and Mom would have a sore ear from talking to Bob. He is going to be sorely missed.
