dear ones,
i was so saddened to find out today of your great loss. i will always remember with fondness our time at southview. i lost my mom, edith brown, this summer. she so loved pastor riley's jokes. he brought her great joy. please know you are in our prayers.

I had the pleasure knowing Pastor Bob over the past 3-4 years doing what Bob enjoyed, playing BAJ softball. I respected Bob for his kindness and religious comments he brought to the playing field.
My deepest sympathies to you and your family members.

As one of your former students, I have fond memories of being in your eighth grade English class years ago. You were a great teacher and I will remember you in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

We were so very shocked to learn of Bob's home going so soon after we had just seen him at the Central Seminary 50th Anniversary, the first we had seen you folks in many years. Our hearts go out to you, and we pray that God will grant you and the church great comfort in this time of sorrow. God is the God of great comfort and, thankfully, we sorrow not as those who have no hope, though certainly we do sorrow in these circumstances.

Thirty-three years pastoring the same church speaks highly of the man and the congregation.

To Pastor Bob's family,

Even though I only had the pleasure to know Pastor Bob a very short time (this year) I had learned to love, admire and respect him for the kind, wonderful and spiritual man that he was. He was fun and uplifting to be around and I really enjoyed playing solfball with him and all of the other BAJ's. I was looking forward to becoming a member of his church, Southview Baptist, in the very near future.
