Robert John "Bob" Riley Jr.

Mr. Robert "Bob" J. Riley, 82, of Hawaii, went to heaven on March 21, 2025. He was surrounded by his family in the home he built. Born in Seattle, Washington, to the late Robert J. Riley and Francis Bender, Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose life was defined by service, family, and generosity. Bob married Claudia Riley, his wife of nearly 60 years, in 1965. Together, they raised their daughter, Sunshine Riley, and later welcomed grandchildren Isaiah and Kealani Berg. Isaiah and his wife, Sydney, have two children, with a third on the way. Bob was preceded in death by his sister, Diane Riley, and is survived by his brother, Sean Riley. A U.S. Navy veteran, Bob moved to Hawaii after his service and built a successful career as a realtor from 1980 until his passing. Well-known in the community for his generosity, and his music, he touched countless lives with his warmth and willingness to give. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Sunday, March 30, 2025, at Hilo Missionary Church (1044 Komohana Street). All are welcome.
