Robert Williamson Obituary
Rip was a lifelong resident of Augusta. He spent many of his days hunting and fishing and many of his nights grilling for his family and friends. He enjoyed participating in and observing sports, as he was an avid UGA and Braves fan. He was extremely hardworking, and Rip adored his family and was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, and fiancé.
Family members include his mother: Carol Sheppard; fiancé: Kathy Waddell; children: Catherine Price (Keith), Robert Van Williamson III, and Blake Williamson (Olivia Durkin); grandchildren: Noah Harrell, Asa Price, Addyson Price, Taylor Williamson, Matthew Gallman, Rush Williamson, and Kamdon Williamson; brothers: Keith Williamson, Danny Sheppard, and Mike Dickey; and sisters: Kim Lind and Kelly Williamson. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Van Williamson, Sr.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Liver Foundation at https://liverfoundation.org/ .
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 P.M., at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Rd., Augusta, GA 30907 (706) 364-8484.
