Robert Francis Rochette Sr.

Robert Francis Rochette, Sr., 69, of Albany, NY, passed away on Thursday July 10, 2025 surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness and underlying complications due to Hodgkin Lymphoma.
Born in Meriden, CT, he was the son of the late Rudolph and Thelma (Thompson) Rochette. Robert attended Meriden schools, then joined the Air Force. He returned to Meriden after two years of service and was a retiree of Ocean State Job Lot, where he worked as a regional property manager based in the Albany area.
Bob was an incredibly generous dad, Pepere, brother, and friend. At a moment's notice Bob would come to CT to help with his grandchildren or a sibling, no questions asked, with his can-do attitude. He could often be found helping out a friend or neighbor in any capacity they may have needed. Recently, he had been fostering dogs through the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society as they recovered from surgeries and awaited their "furever" homes.
He is survived by his daughter, Heather Rochette; his son Robert Rochette, Jr. and wife Amanda; his five grandchildren: Nathan and Brenna Hoyt and Avery, Nolan and Aubrey Rochette; his siblings Michael Rochette, Mary Briggs, Ronald Rochette, David Rochette, John Rochette(Diane) and Cheryl Rochette(Gary); and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, July 20th from 1 to 4 p.m. followed by a funeral service commencing at 4 p.m. in the funeral home. A burial will be held privately at the Connecticut Veterans Cemetery in Middletown, CT at a later date.
