Robert Rorer

ROBERT "LIGHTNING" WYLES RORER, age 84, Cynthiana, died Monday, November 3, 2014 at Harrison Memorial Hospital. Born in Harrison County, April 8, 1930, to the late Charley and Lila Morgan Rorer, he was a retired Ladish employee, a member of Connersville Christian Church and a United States Korean War veteran. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by, his wife, Nellie Whitaker Rorer; a daughter, Becky Roby; a brother, William Henry Rorer and two grandchildren, Jay Sowder and Leesa Sowder. He is survived by his family, Debbie (Roger) Lemons, Joe (Anna) Sowder, Angie Lemons, Daniel, LeAnn (Jeff) Ammerman, Josie and Lauren, Katie Sowder, Nathan (Kathryn) Sowder, Jim Sowder, Jacque Woods, Billy Sowder, Gary (Kathy) Sowder and Jamie Flaherty. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday at Ware Funeral Home by Bro. Clifford Neat. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday. Burial will be in Pythian Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be Connersville Christian Church or Hospice of the Bluegrass. Active pallbearers will be Daniel Lemons, Nathan Sowder, Jeff Ammerman, Anthony Ecklar, Kerry Florence and Allen Bennett.
