Leaf Cremation of Georgia - AcworthRobert Dudley Ross, 84, passed away peacefully at his home in Calhoun, GA on October 31, 2025
He was born January 18, 1941 in Rome, GA & was the son of the late Malcolm Hood Ross & Ozella Byars Ross. He graduated from Johnson High School.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 23 years, Shirley Jean Ross; his son, Bob Ross; sister, Margaret Murphy and brother, Donald Ross.
He worked for many years and retired from Bekaert where he was a lead maintenance pyro/HVAC technician. He loved trout fishing, hunting with his bird dogs, listening to audible books, coaching and traveling on his motorcycle. However, his top favorite things were whatever his grandchildren played or were interested in.
He is survived by his daughter Brandi Camp (David), son Michael Ross, brother Dean Ross (Marge) and also his grandchildren Bailey Camp, Braden Camp, Brex Camp, Jennifer Herndon, Josh Herndon; as well as several great grandchildren & nieces & nephews.
He was a caring husband and the greatest dad and Paw Paw & was loved beyond measure by his family. They will miss him so much but have peace that he’s watching over them & his memory will continue to live through them all.
In Respect to his wishes he will be cremated & the family will have a Celebration of Life service at 3PM on Sunday Nov 16, 2025 at their home. Dinner will be provided for family & friends.
