Robert Charles Royce

1944 - 2025

Janesville, WI - Robert Charles Royce, age 81 of Janesville, WI passed away at his home on November 12, 2025. He was born in New York City, NY on August 15, 1944, the son of Charles and Ada (Hoffman) Royce. The family moved to Monona Grove, WI when Robert was a youngster and he attended schools there graduating from Monona Grove High School. Robert served in the U. S. Navy from May 12, 1965 to May 17, 1968.

Robert married Terra Lynn Suetmeier on October 2, 1965. The family moved to Janesville shortly after Robert began working at General Motors where he was employed for 33 years. He was a member of U.A.W. Local # 95. Robert will be remembered for his love of the outdoors and working in his yard. He enjoyed following the Cubs, Packers and Badger Sports teams and ice fishing but his special joy came from being with his beloved wife, Terra, his children, grandchildren and his dogs, especially his present canine companion, Seamus Malone.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Terra Royce; children, Lori King of Prairie du Sac, WI, Amy (Derek) Bilz of Kansas City, MO, Scott Royce of Tomah, WI; grandchildren, Tyler (Niki) King, Cody King, Emily Bilz, Nathan Bilz, Ashley Royce, Alex Royce, Austin Royce. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Jackie Walterscheit and his brother-in-law Jon Walterscheit.

Robert's family wishes to express a special thank you to his wonderful neighbors as well as to Dr Emily Robinson, Dr. Beau Waddell, the Mercy Hospice Team and My Care Maria.
