Robert "Bob" F. Runde, Jr, 85, of Fennimore, and formerly of Platteville, Wisconsin died Thursday, August 28, 2025. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Platteville, WI. Father Greg Ihm will officiate. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Platteville. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Monday, September 1, 2025, at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory in Platteville, WI and from 9:30 to 10:30 AM on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at the church where a rosary will be prayed at 10:40 AM leading into mass. Memorials may be made to the Robert F. Runde Memorial Fund. Online condolences can be made at www.melbyfh.com.

Bob was born in Platteville, Wisconsin, son of Robert F. and Caroline T. (Salwolke) Runde. He was united in marriage to Patricia Whitaker on September 26, 1959, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Platteville. Bob later was united in marriage to Alice Korn on August 3, 2013, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Fennimore. Alice preceded him in death in 2014. Bob farmed in Lima Township until 1987. He was employed by Trelay Farms for 17 years. Bob went on to farm with his son, Ed, on his farm in Stitzer, and later in Fennimore.

Bob was a member of the Catholic Knights and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, fastpitch softball and playing cards, especially euchre. He was an avid Packer, Brewers and Badgers fan. He loved following his children and grandchildren in their school and sporting events.

Bob is survived by his five children, Marilyn (Rick Siegenthaler) Runde-Robison, Ed (Cindy) Runde, Cindy (Tracy) Greenfield, Dennis Runde and Sheri (Barron) Johnson, 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren with one more due in October; three sisters, Mabel Bass, Jeanne (Chuck) Allen, and Rosie Brodbeck; brother, Joseph (Karen) Runde; sister-in-law, Mary Runde and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice, his parents, granddaughter, Stephanie Giesen, son-in-law, Ron Robison, grandson-in-law, David Post; brothers, Vincent, Bernard, Gerald and Francis in infancy, brothers-in-law, Jim Bass and Donald Brodbeck, sister-in-law, Rose Runde.
