Robert Monroe Sappington, born on July 27, 1956, in Claremore, Oklahoma, passed away on December 13, 2025, at the age of 69. He was known for his kind spirit and genuine nature. Robert had a deep love for caring for his animals, spending time hunting, and engaging in conversation with anyone who crossed his path. He enjoyed tinkering with various items and taking on little projects, always finding joy in the simple things.
He is survived by his son, Robert Sappington and wife Victoria of Pryor, and his sister, Reva Fryman. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, John and Rachel (Kelley) Sappington; his sister, Emma Hastings; and his brothers, Homer Sappington, Bill Sappington, and Johnny Sappington.
A memorial visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Shipman's Funeral Home in Pryor. To leave a message, please visit his guestbook at www.shipmansfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Shipman's Funeral & Cremation Service of Pryor.
