Robert Marion "Bob" Schaffer

Funeral service for Robert Marion "Bob" Schaffer, 84, of Center, will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Center Baptist Church with pastor Kaleb Mosley officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Center Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bienhoff Funeral Home.
Mr. Schaffer passed away at 6:00 PM Friday December 22, 2023 at Salt River Community Care in Shelbina.
Robert was born on January 25, 1939 in Center the son of Marion Edward and Grace Francis Griffin Schaffer.
He married Wanda Jean Maxey on November 17, 1973 in Monroe City and she preceded him in death on April 4, 2017.
Survivors include: one son; Ronald (Lori) Davis of Shelbina, one daughter; Karen Simmons of Shelbina, one sister; Donna Caldwell, fourteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by one son; Rick Davis, two daughters; Sylvia Treasure and Sharon Miles, two sons in law; Jack Treasure and Jerry Simmons, two siblings; Earl Schaffer and Marilynn Harrison, and one great granddaughter Amber Miles.
Mr. Schaffer was a lifetime area resident and Christian by faith. He was a farmer and took great pride in farming his land. He enjoyed collecting Indian artifacts but most of all he enjoyed his time spent with family and doing all he could to spoil them.
Pallbearers will be Josh Simmons, Joshua Davis, Jerry Miles Jr., Jason Miles, Joey Miles, and Jon Miles.
Honorary pallbearers will be Troy Treasure, Tod Hays, Cara Foster, Kim Davis, Tina Bissell, Helen Treasure, Taesiah Miles, and Treasure Miles.
